Mantis Press Release, November 2006:

DTI Grant for Mantis Development Program

Mantis Deposition has obtained a follow-on $300K grant from the UK Government Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for further development of it's Nanoparticle Deposition technology for antimicrobial coatings.  The grant period runs for 18 months to engineer a prototype tool which enables plasma cleaning of surfaces in vacuum followed by accelerated deposition of silver nanoparticles which are highly antimicrobial.  The NanoGen-50 Deposition Source, a standard product in the Mantis range, will be incorporated into the prototype design.
